Business Analytics (MS)

The M.S. in Business Analytics degree will be a multi-disciplinary program that provides advanced education in business analytics through an emphasis on foundational theories, advanced tools and techniques and practical applications. Taking a comprehensive approach, the program will provide students with knowledge about various aspects of business analytics such as cleaning and transforming data, prescriptive and predictive techniques, data mining and business intelligence, unstructured data analytics, visualization and data ethics.

The M.S. in Business Analytics is designed for both professionals and recent college graduates who aspire to advance their careers in business analytics. In comparison to an undergraduate program, the M.S. program will offer deeper knowledge and skills in business analytics, along with practical and domain-related expertise. We anticipate that the degree will consist of 30-credits (18 credits of core courses and 12 credits of electives) that will provide students with a well-rounded education in business analytics for rewarding high-impact careers in a variety of applied analytics domains.

Degree Requirements

  1. Complete the Common Body of Knowledge courses, or have prior coursework in all topics that are included in the Common Body ok Knowledge.
  2. Complete all M.S. Business Analytics Core Courses and 12 credits from the Electives Courses.
  3. Complete a Capstone Project in ITSCM 778 Programming for Analytics (Note: this course must be taken after completing 18 program credits)
  4. Have a graduate grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0.
