The Department of Theatre/Dance presents six major productions annually, including a musical or opera, a touring children’s play and a dance concert, as well as student-produced scenes and one-act plays. These activities provide rich opportunities for students to see and participate in a wide range of theatrical productions. Students may also participate in the technical aspects of productions and in theatre management, and may audition for roles in any of the productions. All participation in Theatre/Dance productions may be taken for class credit.  Camaraderie through theatre activities will enliven college life, and the arts and skills learned will forever enhance students’ lives.  Student groups Theta Alpha Phi (a national theatre fraternity open to men and women) and UWW Dance Company (open to all students) are service organizations which promote the Theatre/Dance department and its activities, as well as theatre and dance on campus.
