The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Women’s Center is a supportive community dedicated to fostering women’s individual empowerment through educational programs, resources, and referrals.
The Women’s Center collaborates with UW-Whitewater students, faculty, staff, and the larger community on programs designed to increase awareness about issues affecting women.
The Center is a place where women and men can work to address diverse needs, interest, and concerns, including the promotion of equality by challenging imbalances of power based on sexism and other forms of oppression. Students on campus can also receive information and referrals in matters relating to a wide range of gender issues.
The Women’s Center is located in the Warhawk Involvement Center, UC 127. It is open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Fridays. For more information, call the Women’s Resource Center at 262-472-1471.
