| Conducting Recital or Capstone Project | ||
| Students will conduct one of the department’s standing large or small ensembles in a public performance. PREREQ: MUSC 356, MUSC 357, MUSC 358, and MUSC 455. Concurrent enrollment with MUSC 498 - Independent Study. Enrollment limited to two students per semester. | ||

Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher in all relevant courses in order to enroll in the independent study and conducting recital/capstone project.
Note regarding music minors: This certificate program is open to both music majors and minors as long as they have completed MUSC 254, Aural Skills IV, before enrolling in MUSC 356, Conducting.
