HMONG 141   BEGINNING HMONG I   4 Units

Beginning Hmong I is designed for students with little or no knowledge of the Hmong language. Students will develop basic reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in Hmong. Students will also begin to examine the history of the Hmong people, language and culture in their native lands and in the United States.

HMONG 142   BEGINNING HMONG II   4 Units

Beginning Hmong II is designed for students who have passed Beginning Hmong I or have some knowledge of the Hmong language. Students will increase their Hmong proficiency level in reading, writing, listening and speaking. This course will explore Hmong language, culture and history in greater depth and allow students to discuss events orally.
