LSINDP 101 INTRODUCTION TO HEALS 2 Units
This course is designed to help students understand the goals and objectives of the health and leadership studies degree. This course introduces students seeking the health and leadership studies degree to the rigors of a professional-preparatory degree. It is a required course for all health and leadership studies majors. The primary emphases of the course are on: (1) understanding the expectations of the health profession, (2) meeting behavioral expectations of the major and health professions, (3) fostering critical thinking skills, and (4) focusing writing skills.

LSINDP 282 LEARNING ASSISTANT SEMINAR Repeatable 1 Units
Tutoring methods and practice are discussed with a focus on inquiry-based learning. Students are required to spend at least one hour each week tutoring any middle school, high school, or university student(s) or as a Learning Assistant in addition to participating in weekly discussions.

LSINDP 399 CAREER INFORMATION IN LETTERS & SCIENCES 1 Units
Specifically for Letters and Sciences majors and minors, this course focuses on self-reflection and analysis in preparation for job searching. With a focus on lifelong learning and career development, course topics include goal setting, decision-making, resume writing, interviewing skills, and professional networking. Particular attention will be given to career opportunities, the value of liberal arts degree programs, and the various options for graduate and professional study.

LSINDP 401 HEALTH AND LEADERSHIP SENIOR SEMINAR 1 Units
This course is designed to provide a culminating experience for students in the Health and Leadership program. Students will evaluate their progress toward meeting their own educational and professional goals by assembling a portfolio of artifacts in which they demonstrate their competency of the program¿s student learning objectives and by writing a reflective essay on their education experience. The course will also prepare students for future careers in Health and Leadership.
PREREQ: MAJOR IN HEALTH AND LEADERSHIP STUDIES AND SENIOR STATUS OR CONSENT OF INSTRUCTOR
LSINDP 484 DISABILITY STUDIES SEMINAR 1 Units
Students participating in the intensive individual learning stage of the Disability Studies Certificate (i.e., internship, independent study, undergraduate research, or service learning project) will discuss their learning experiences and disability and accessibility with other student participants. Each student will make a final presentation to the group.
