Physical Education (Post-Baccalaureate) Certificate Requirements

The Physical Education Post-Baccalaureate Certificate is an online asynchronous post-baccalaureate certificate for students that have earned a baccalaureate degree in any other discipline. This certificate prepares students for Physical Education (1530) teacher licensure. This program requires in-person field experience and student teaching; UW-Whitewater will facilitate these placements.

Admission requirements:

The minimum requirements for admission to the Physical Education Post-baccalaureate Certificate are:

  1. Completed Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college/university. Official transcripts confirming degree conferral and GPA are required. 

  2. Complete the COEPS Educational Foundations Block (EDFOUND 212, EDFOUND 243, EDFNDPRC 210, SPECED 205) in order to be admitted to Professional Education ahead of taking Content Knowledge and Teaching Methods, and Field Work requirements.
