Accounting Requirements (BBA)

A minimum combined transfer and UW-Whitewater grade point average of 2.67 is required in ACCOUNT 249 and ACCOUNT 341 to continue as an accounting major. In addition, a 2.5 GPA is required in all College of Business courses, and a minimum grade of C- is required in all accounting courses to graduate as an accounting major.

Note: 1: An accounting major may repeat no more than two accounting courses without permission from the Accounting Department.

Note: 2: The Accounting Department complies with UW-Whitewater's repeat policies. Under these policies a student

  1. may repeat an accounting course in which they earned a C- grade or below
  2. may not repeat an accounting course if the student has received credit for a higher level accounting course for which the course to be repeated is a prerequisite or corequisite. For example, a student who has received credit for  ACCOUNT 249 may not repeat  ACCOUNT 244. Students failing to earn a C- or above in any accounting class should consult their advisor about retaking the class the next semester.
