Veterinary Medicine schools will only accept coursework that is completed with a C or better. Schools of veterinary medicine may also have a cumulative GPA requirement. There is no grade or GPA requirement to earn this certificate.

This certificate does not encompass all possible pre-requisite courses for admission to Veterinary Medicine (DVM) school. Students are encouraged to proactively identify required prerequisite courses for admission to the schools where they intend to apply. Additionally, most veterinary medicine schools require many hours of experience job shadowing with both large and small animal veterinarians and a standardized admission test such as the GRE or CASPer.

Schools of veterinary medicine may not require completion of a bachelor's degree prior to admission. Students opting to apply without completing a degree will need to ensure they meet any English, humanities, and social science requirements as those are not included in this certificate.

Completion of this certificate does not guarantee admission to veterinary medicine school. Each school of veterinary medicine makes its own admissions decisions based upon its own requirements.
