To receive Library Media K-12 licensure with your licensable teaching major, you need to complete all courses for the Library Media minor plus two practicum experiences: LIBMEDIA 793E, LIBMEDIA 793S, or LIBMEDIA 793M.

Students in other majors can earn a Wisconsin School Library Media Specialist license (1902) by taking these courses and additional education courses, a field experience in a school library, pre-student teaching and student teaching in two school libraries, and a capstone portfolio. They must meet the entrance requirements for professional education and earn a 3.00 GPA on library content courses.
