Please note, to receive Library Media (initial) K-12 licensure with your lincensable teaching major, you need to complete all courses for the Library Media minor plus two practicum experiences: LIBMEDIA 793E, LIBMEDIA 793S OR LIBMEDIA 793M .
Students in other majors can earn a Wisconsin School Library Media Specialist license (1902) by taking these courses and additional education courses, a field experience in a school library, student teaching in two school libraries, a capstone portfolio, and successful completion of the edTPA. They must meet the entrance requirements for professional education and earn a 3.0 GPA on library content courses. Contact the library media program coordinator for more information.
