Music - Instrumental Education Emphasis Requirements (BM)

The Music Education Instrumental Emphasis is designed to prepare the student for a career of teaching instrumental music in the public schools (kindergarten through grade 12). Students who wish to add general music licensure to the program of studies in the instrumental emphasis must complete additional course work1.

For BM (Music Education Instrumental): Students seeking additional K-12 General Music licensure, must also enroll in MUSC 166 and MUSED 452 and its corequisite CIFLD 492 totaling 6 additional units.
